²⁰ So ^(A)God was good to the midwives, and ^(B)the people multiplied, and became very ^[a]mighty. ²¹ Because the midwives ^[b](C)feared God, He ^[c](D)established ^[d]households for them. ²² Then Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, “^(E)Every son who is born ^[e]you are to cast into ^(F)the Nile, and every daughter you are to keep alive.”
